3 A/V (Audio/Video) DUB Button
This button is used to record new
audio and video in place of existing
audio and video on a recorded tape.
Details are on pages 52-53.
4 DISPLAY Button
Press this button to display the
battery level indicator, time counter
or time-remaining display in the
viewfinder. Details are on
pages 23, 40-45.
5 RESET Button
Press the RESET button when the
time counter appears in the
viewfinder to set it back to “0:00:00”.
Details are on pages 43-44.
Press the RESET button when the
time-remaining display appears in the
viewfinder to display the correct tape
size. Details are on pages 43 and 45.
6 TITLE ON/OFF Button
Press the TITLE ON/OFF button to
display the titler graphics in the
viewfinder. Details are on pages 48-49.
7 F.FWD (Fast Forward) Button
Press the F.FWD button when the
camcorder’s POWER switch is in the
VCR position to fast forward the
tape.
Press and hold the F.FWD button
during playback (camcorder’s
POWER switch in VCR) to visually
search the tape forward at a higher
speed. Release the F.FWD button to
return to normal playback.
Press and hold the F.FWD button
when the camcorder’s POWER
switch is in the CAMERA position to
visually search the recorded material
forward. When you release the
F.FWD button, the camcorder will
stop playing, and prepare to record at
that point on the tape.
8 PLAY Button
Press the PLAY button when the
camcorder’s POWER switch is in the
VCR position to begin playback.
Press and hold the PLAY button
when the camcorder’s POWER
switch is in the CAMERA position to
view the recorded material at normal
speed. When you release the PLAY
button, the camcorder will stop
playing and prepare to record at that
point on the tape.
9 PAUSE/RECORD Button (Same as
Thumb Trigger and PAUSE Button
on Camcorder)
Press and release the PAUSE/
RECORD button when the POWER
switch is in the CAMERA position to
start and stop recording.
Note: The camcorder’s ON/POWER-
SAVE lever must be in the ON position
for the camcorder to record.
Press the PAUSE/RECORD button
during playback (camcorder’s
POWER switch in the VCR position)
to produce a stop-action picture.
Press the PAUSE/RECORD button
again to return to normal playback.
10 ZOOM (W and T) Buttons
Press and hold the W ZOOM button
to move the lens in the wide-angle
direction.
Press and hold the T ZOOM button to
move the lens in the telephoto
direction.
