Troubleshooting
PictBridge compliant printer
Symptom Cause Solution
You cannot connect your
camera to the printer.
The printer is not PictBridge compliant.
The printer is not ready to be connected.
Your camera is not connected to the printer
correctly.
p Ask the printer manufacturer if the printer is PictBridge
compliant.
p Confirm that the printer is turned on and is ready to be
connected.
p When the preparations needed to make the connection between
the camera and the printer are finished, make the connection
(pages 42 and 43).
You cannot print.
Your camera is not connected to the printer.
The power of the printer is off.
You cannot print a movie.
You may not be able to print a still image
recorded using other devices or an image
processed using a computer.
p Confirm that your camera is correctly connected to the printer
using the USB cable.
p Turn the printer on. For details, see the operation manual
supplied with the printer.
Printing was stopped.
You disconnected the USB cable before the
mark disappeared.
You cannot attach a date to
an image.
Your printer does not support this function. pAsk the printer manufacturer if the printer supports this
function.
“---- -- --” is printed on an
image instead of a date.
Printable date information has not been input to
the image file.
p If printable date information has not been input, you cannot
print out a date. To print without date information, set [INSERT
DATE] to [OFF] and print the image (page 45).
