Troubleshooting
Memory Stick folders are full.
• You cannot create folders exceeding
999MSDCF. You cannot create or delete
created folders using your camcorder.
• Format the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
(p. 76), or delete folders using your
computer.
Cannot save still picture.
• When using the Dual Rec function, do not
eject the “Memory Stick PRO Duo” from
the camcorder until movie recording is
finished and the still images are stored on it
(p. 39).
This Memory Stick may not be able
to record or play movies.
• Use the recommended “Memory Stick”
(p. 4).
This Memory Stick may not be able
to record or play images correctly.
• An error occurred on “Memory Stick PRO
Duo.” Insert the “Memory Stick PRO Duo”
again.
• Contact your Sony dealer or local
authorized Sony service facility.
Do not eject the Memory Stick during
writing. Data may be damaged.
• Insert the “Memory Stick PRO Duo” again,
and follow the instructions on the screen.

Not connected to PictBridge
compatible printer.
• Turn off the printer and on again, then
disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it.
Cannot print. Check the printer.

No further selection is possible.
• To the Playlist on the internal memory
(HDR-UX19E/UX20E) or the “Memory
Stick PRO Duo,” you can add a maximum
of 999 movies with HD (high definition)
image quality, or 99 movies with SD
(standard definition) image quality. To the
Playlist on the disc, you can add a
maximum of 999 movies.
• The maximum number of images that you
can select on the INDEX screen at one time
is 100 when:
delete images
dub movies
copy still images
edit the playlist
print still images
Data protected.
• You tried to delete a still image data
protected on another device. Release the
protection of the data on the device used to
protect the data.
Cannot divide.
• You cannot divide a movie that is
extremely short.
Cannot recover data.
• Writing data to the media has failed.
Attempts were made to recover the data,
but they were unsuccessful.
Please wait.
• This is displayed if the disc removal
process takes time. Turn on the camcorder
and leave it for about 10 minutes,
preventing vibration.
