IP Camera
The EHV is a hybrid video recorder and allows you to add up to four IP cameras to the recorder. The IP cameras will be
assigned to the last four channels on the recorder.
Note You must use SCS or Remote software to view the live camera video.
To add and configure IP cameras on the EHV recorder:
1. Press SETUP on the front of the DVR or remote control.
2. Select RECORD > RECORDING CONFIGURATION > IP CAMERA
3. Use CAMERA DISCOVERY, or set ENABLE to ON for the desired channel and manually enter the IP address.
4. Select the STREAM type, and enter the ID, PASSWORD, and PORT information for the camera.
5. Click SAVE and then go to LIVE view. If the cameras were added correctly, the screen will display CONNECTED.
Using Camera Discovery
Use Camera Discovery to automatically detect IP cameras that are connected to the recorder. Using Camera Discovery is
available for recorders with a static IP address and makes it easy to add IP cameras.
Note To configure a Static IP address on the recorder, go
to the Network Configuration screen
1. If the EHV is connected to the network and has a static
IP address, click CAMERA DISCOVERY to locate the
cameras on the local network.
2. Select a camera from the list, click the CH number on
the bottom of the window to select the channel the
camera will be asigned to, and then click APPLY.
3. Click CLOSE to close the IPCAM LIST window and
complete the IP camera configuration.
