Troubleshooting
The recorded
image is too
dark.
There was not enough light. Set the flash to
the Auto or Fill-in setting.
The subject was too far away for the flash.
The flash illuminates subjects up to a dis-
tance of only about 10 feet (2.6 m).
You selected an incorrect advanced setting.
Readjust the setting or set it to automatic.
You can also use PhotoWise to adjust the
brightness and contrast of your image.
The recorded
image is too
bright.
If the flash was in the Fill-in mode, there
was too much light.
Change the flash setting
to Auto.
The camera was pointed directly at a bright
light. Take the picture from a different angle.
You can also use PhotoWise to adjust the
brightness and contrast of your image.
You selected an incorrect advanced setting.
Readjust the setting or set it to automatic.
You were too close to the subject (i.e.,
Macro) to use the flash.
Turn off the flash
and take the picture again.
