Remote Shooting
Basic Settings
You can perform settings on the camera, such as setting the camera owner’s name and setting
the date and time.

Click the [Camera settings/Remote shooting] button.
¿ The camera settings window appears.

The above window shows information
displayable when EOS 30D is connected.
The displayed information varies depending
on the camera model connected.

O Click again to close the basic settings
window.
You can shoot photos remotely. For remote
shooting, refer to Chapter 4.

Select the item to be set and specify the settings.
¿ The settings are applied to the camera.
O When switching to the main window, select the [Window] menu

[Main Window].
O If you select the [File] menu

[Exit], EOS Utility exits, including the camera settings
window.
O The above window shows information displayable when the EOS 30D is connected.
The displayed information varies depending on the camera model connected.
Initializing a memory card deletes all the data and the data cannot be recovered. Check
carefully before initializing.
The display switches to the
image download window (p.1-7).
You can set the camera’s
date and time.
Displays the various
camera information.
You can show/hide the shot
settings window (p.2-3).
You can show/hide the basic
settings window.
You can enter up to 31
characters and register the
camera owner’s name.
You can initialize the
memory card in the camera.
Closes the window.
Returns to the previous window.
The camera’s firmware
version is displayed, and
you can perform updates.
