SETTING UP THE CAMERA SYSTEM
Starting Set up mode
FILE NAME
This enables you to name files
- SERIES type : Under this system, the file name will directly follow the last stored file
name, regardless of any actions such as file deletion or re-formatting.
- RESET type : Using reset, the next file name will be set from 0001 even after formatting,
deleting all or inserting a new CF CARD.
- Rotate the mode dial to SET UP mode, allowing you to set up the basic camera settings.
FORMAT
This is used for formatting the CF CARD.
1. Turn the camera on.
2. Rotate the mode dial to SET UP mode.
3. A menu will display on the LCD monitor.
4. Press the DOWN button ( ) and select [FORMAT].
5. Shift the cursor to the [FORMAT] sub menu by pressing
the RIGHT button ( )
6. Select [YES] to format the CF CARD.
7. Press the OK button to format the CF CARD.
After formatting the CF CARD, [FORMAT OK!] message
will show in the LCD monitor and the display is returned
to initial menu.

You will need to format the CF CARD under the following circumstances:
- If the card is new one or has not been previously formatted.
- When the camera fails to read the images already stored on the card.
