Symptom

Cause
The focus mode is not
correct.
FLASH OFF mode have
been selected.
The date and time have been
set incorrectly or the camera
has adopted the default
settings.
Camera malfunction
If the subject is closer than
0.8m, select macro shot mode.
Use Fixed focus when you
cannot use auto focus mode.
Dis-engage FLASH OFF
mode.
Reset the date and time
correctly.
Refer to page 24.
Remove /re-insert batteries
and switch camera on.
Remedy
CF CARD error.
Color of image
different to original
scene.
Images are too
bright.
Incorrect CF CARD format
W.BALANCE setting is
incorrect.
Exposure is excessive.
Re-format the CF CARD.
Refer to page 67.
Select appropriate
W.BALANCE.
Refer to page 50.
Reset exposure compensation.
