10. A red frame appears on the screen and the double magnified center
part of a “through image” is shown in the frame. This red frame repre-
sents the digital 2x zoom-in mode.
If a picture is taken in this mode, the magnified center part is recorded on
a CF card by a resolution of 1152×872 pixels.
* In the ECONOMY image quality mode, the magnified center part is re-
corded by a resolution of 576×436 pixels.
When recording is complete, the LCD monitor again shows a “through
image” in the red frame.
* In this status, the camera is still set in the digital 2x zoom mode. If you
want to discontinue the digital 2x zoom mode and to take a picture in the
normal shooting or continuous shooting mode, repeat the
above-mentioned steps 2 and 3 to select the “Normal shooting” or “Con-
tinuous shooting” icon. After selection of a desired mode, press the SET
button.
