Servo flash mode with the mecablitz 34 CS-2 in
manual mode:
• Steps 1 to 4 are the same as for „servo flash mode with
the mecablitz 34 CS-2 in auto mode“.
• Set the operating mode selector
ቧ
on the servo flash
unit at M.
• When triggered the servo flash unit fires an uncontrolled
flash with full light output.
For the servo flash-to-subject distance and the aperture to
be set on the camera, please refer to the description of
manual flash mode on page 74.
Flash units of other photographers working in
the same action radius as the 34 CS-2 SLAVE
can inadvertently fire the 34 CS-2 SLAVE. Flash
modes of the controlling „master“ unit working
with pre-flashes (e.g. for red-eye reduction -
CANON A-TTL and E-TTL, MINOLTA HSS mode
and wireless TTL; NIKON 3D mode) are not suita-
ble for this operating mode because such pre-
flashes will trigger the SLAVE prior to the actual
exposure. If necessary, these functions should
