260 B The Setup Menu: Camera Setup
When connecting the camera to a television or VCR, be sure the
camera video mode matches the device video standard (NTSC or
PAL).
Choose whether the camera will establish wireless connections
with smart devices when an optional WU-1a wireless mobile
adapter (0 309) is attached to the camera USB and A/V
connector.
A The Satellite Signal Indicator
Connection status is shown as follows:
• % (static): The camera has established
communication with the GPS unit.
• % (flashing): The unit is searching for a
signal.
Pictures taken while the icon is
flashing do not include location data.
• No icon: No new location data have been
received from the unit for at least two
seconds.
Pictures taken when the % icon is not displayed do not
include location data.

Option Description
Enable
Enable wireless connections to smart devices running the
Wireless Mobile Utility.
Disable
Disable wireless connections to smart devices.
Choose
this option in locations where the use of wireless devices
is prohibited.
Selecting this option also reduces the drain
on the camera battery.
