Understanding the Button Functions
1 Power switch
Turns the camera on and off (p.36).
2 Shutter release button
Focuses the camera on the subject when pressed halfway in still
picture capture mode (except in 3 and s modes).
Takes a still picture when pressed down fully (p.55).
3 Zoom button
Changes the area captured by the camera (p.63).
Switches to the [A Rec. Mode] menu, [C Movie] menu, or [W Setting]
menu when a menu screen is displayed.
4 Q button
Switches to the Q mode (p.46).
5 Movie button
Starts and stops movie recording (p.84).
