Adjusting the image during recording
Symptom Explanation/Solution
It is out of focus.
This camcorder has no user-adjustable focus control function.
The minimum focal length between the camcorder and the subject is 1.3m.

The image appears too bright or
flickering, or changes in color.
This occurs when recording images under a fluorescent lamp, sodium lamp, or mercury
lamp. Cancel "iSCENE" to minimize these phenomena. ➥page 42

Playback on your camcorder

Pressing the playback (play/pause)
button did not start playing.
Press the Play (
) button to set the Play mode.
Image files recorded on another camcorder may not play on your camcorder.

The skip or search function does not
work properly.
If the temperature inside the camcorder is too high, it cannot function properly.
Turn the camcorder off, wait for a few moments, and turn it on again.

Playback is interrupted unexpectedly. Check if the AC power adaptor is properly connected and stable.•
You cannot hear sound when playing a
Time Lapse recording.
The Time Lapse REC function does not support sound. •
Photos stored on a storage media are
not displayed in the actual size.
Photos recorded on other devices may not appear at actual size.
This is not an error.

sound on the connected device.
Connect the audio of the component/AV to your camcorder or connected device (TV,
HD recorder, etc). (Red color- right, White color- left)
The component/AV cable is not connected properly.
Make sure that the connection cable is connected to the proper jack.

This camcorder provides the two-in-one component/AV cable that fits the purpose of the
component and the AV cable. Therefore, when using the component/AV cable, you must
check the right method for the TV output by setting the “TV Out” menu.

Set the video output signal according to the TV color system of the connected TV.

PC player.
The display mode of the recorded video does not match that of playback device.
A video recorded in 16:9 wide mode should be played back on a TV or PC that
