Starting the recording mode
How to usethe Scenemodes
Use the menu to easily configure optimal settings for a variety of
shooting situations.
1. Select the Scene mode by pressing
the MENU button (p.19).
2. Point the camera towards the subject
and compose the image by using the
LCD monitor.
3. Press the shutter button to capture an
image.
]The scene modes are listed below.
[Beauty Shot] ( _ ) : Take a photo of a person with options to
hide facial imperfections.
[Night] ( D ) : Usethis for shooting still images at night
or in other dark conditions.
[Portrait] ( _ ) :To take a picture of a person.
[Children] ( D ) : To take a picture of fast moving
objects, for example, children.
[Landscape] (_ ) : To take pictures of distant scenery.
[Close Up] ( El ) :Close-up shooting for small objects such
as plants and insects.
[Text] ( H ) : Usethis mode to shoot a document.
[Sunset] ( D ) : Fortaking pictures of sunsets.
[Dawn] ( D ) : Daybreak scenes.
[Backlight] ( _ ) : Portrait without shadows caused by
backlight.
[Firework] ( m ) : Firework scenes.
[Beach&Snow] ( _ ) : Forocean, lake, beach and snowscape
scenes.
