Recording a picture
Using Super NightShot
The Super NightShot mode makes subjects more
than 16 times brighter than those recorded in the
NightShot mode.
(1)In CAMERA mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to
ON. and “NIGHTSHOT“ indicators flash
on the screen.
(2)Press SUPER NIGHTSHOT. The indicator
and “SUPER NIGHTSHOT“ flash on the
screen.
To cancel the Super NightShot mode, press
SUPER NIGHTSHOT.
Using the NightShot Light
The picture will be clearer with the NightShot
Light on. To enable the NightShot Light, set N.S.
LIGHT to ON in the menu settings (p. 116).
Notes
•Do not use the NightShot function in bright
places (ex. the outdoors in the daytime). This
may cause your camcorder to malfunction.
•When you keep NIGHTSHOT set to ON in
normal recording, the picture may be recorded
in incorrect or unnatural colours.
•If focusing is difficult with the autofocus mode
when using the NightShot function, focus
manually.
While using the NightShot function, you
cannot use the following functions:
– Exposure
– PROGRAM AE
– White balance
While using the Super NightShot function
The shutter speed is automatically adjusted
depending on the brightness. At that time, the
moving picture may be slow down.
While using the Super NightShot function,
you cannot use the following functions:
– Exposure
– PROGRAM AE
– Fader
– Digital effect
– White balance
While in MEMORY mode (DCR-TRV17E only)
You cannot use the Super NightShot function.
NightShot Light
NightShot Light rays are infrared and so are
invisible. The maximum shooting distance using
the NightShot Light is about 3 m (10 feet).

Gebruik van de Super Nightshot
infraroodfunctie
Met de Super NightShot functie kunt u het onderwerp
meer dan 16 maal zo helder in beeld brengen dan met
alleen de NightShot nachtopnamefunctie.
(1) Schuif in de “CAMERA” stand de NIGHTSHOT
schakelaar in de “ON” stand. De
indicator en de
“NIGHTSHOT” aanduiding knipperen op het
scherm.
(2) Druk op de SUPER NIGHTSHOT toets. De
indicator en de aanduiding “SUPER NIGHTSHOT”
gaan knipperen op het scherm.
Om de Super Nightshot nachtlichtfunctie uit te
schakelen, drukt u nogmaals op de SUPER
NIGHTSHOT toets.
Voor gebruik van de NightShot Light
infraroodlamp
Met de NightShot Light verlichting kunt u helderder
beelden verkrijgen. Voor het gebruik van de NightShot
Light functie zult u eerst het onderdeel N.S.LIGHT op
“ON” moeten zetten in het instelmenu (zie blz. 124).
Opmerkingen
•Gebruik de NightShot nachtopnamefunctie niet bij
helder licht (dus niet buitenshuis overdag). Dit zou
storing in de werking van de camcorder kunnen
veroorzaken.
•Als u de NIGHTSHOT schakelaar op “ON” laat staan
en dan normale opnamen gaat maken, zullen de
kleuren daarvan waarschijnlijk onjuist of onnatuurlijk
overkomen.
•Als het scherpstellen met de autofocus bij NightShot
nachtopnamen niet goed lukt, kunt u beter handmatig
scherpstellen.
Bij het gebruik van de NightShot
nachtopnamefunctie zult u de volgende
functies niet kunnen gebruiken:
– Belichtingsregeling
– PROGRAM AE belichtingsprogramma’s
– Kleurbalansinstelling
Bij gebruik van de Super Nightshot
nachtlichtfunctie
De sluitertijd wordt automatisch aangepast aan het
aanwezige licht. Dat houdt wel in dat bewegende
beelden niet meer erg scherp kunnen worden
opgenomen.
Bij gebruik van de Super Nightshot
nachtlichtfunctie kunt u de volgende functies
niet gebruiken:
– Belichtingsregeling
– PROGRAM AE belichtingsprogramma’s
– In- en uit-faden
– Digitale opname-effecten
– Kleurbalansinstelling
Met de POWER schakelaar in de “MEMORY”
stand (alleen voor de DCR-TRV17E)
Hierbij kunt u de Super Nightshot nachtlichtfunctie niet
gebruiken.
De Nightshot Light lamp
De stralen van de NightShot Light lamp zijn infrarood
en dus onzichtbaar. De maximale reikwijdte van de
infrarode NightShot Light lichtstralen bedraagt
ongeveer 3 meter.
