Symptom Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• CAMCORDER/VTR is set to CAMCORDER.
m Set it to VTR. (p. 36)
• The tape has run out.
m Rewind the tape or use a new one. (p. 36)
• The digital camcorder is updating the cassette memory
data (only for DVCAM cassettes with cassette memory).
m Eject the cassette after the C MEMORY indicator
disappears (p. 25).
• STEADY SHOT is set to OFF.
m Set STEADY SHOT to ON. (p. 68)
• FOCUS is set to MANU.
m Set it to AUTO. (p. 53)
• Shooting conditions are not suitable for autofocus.
m Set FOCUS to MANU to focus manually. (p. 52)
• LINE/MIC is set to LINE.
m Set it to MIC FRONT or MIC REAR.
• DIRECTION SELECT is set to 0°.

• The signal of recording tape is no condition to operate

m Dub the tape into another DVCAM cassette in Fs 32k
