Features of the media
You can save images on the internal memory (HDR-UX19E/UX20E) or DVD-RW,
DVD+RW, DVD-R, and DVD+R DL discs of 8 cm in diameter on the camcorder. Also, you
can save images on a “Memory Stick PRO Duo.” For details on the compatibility of the
“Memory Stick” types, see page 4.
What you can do with the recorded images depends on the image recording quality, HD (high
definition) or SD (standard definition), and the type of disc you selected.

There are 2 recording formats, VIDEO mode and VR mode, for DVD-RW.

Finalizing is required to play the disc in a DVD drive on a computer. A DVD+RW that is not finalized
may cause the computer to malfunction.
