Auto (Auto White Balance)
This is the default. White balance is
automatically adjusted to give a natural color tone
according to the amount of light when shooting.
Hold (White Balance Hold)
Choose this when you want better color
reproduction or you are shooting a monochrome
subject and background. Press the WB button to
adjust the white balance. For further information
refer to the Adjusting the White Balance Hold
section below.
Outdoor (Outdoor)
White balance is automatically adjusted to attain
natural colors when shooting outdoors.
Indoor (Indoor)
White balance is automatically adjusted to attain
natural colors when shooting indoors.
Note
White balance modes are indicated as ATW
(Auto), WB/HOLD (Hold), [ ] (Outdoor), and
[ ] (Indoor] on the LCD panel.
5 Release the shift button.
After the white balance mode is set, exit the
menu. The camera is ready to take pictures.
Adjusting White Balance with White Balance Hold
WB
1 Choose WHITE BALANCE HOLD as the white
balance mode.
2 Point the camera at a completely white subject
until it fills the viewfinder.
3 Push the WB button.
WB is indicated in the viewfinder and the white
balance adjustment begins.
