MODE
The Menu system allows certain aspects of your radio’s
configuration to be customized for your personal operat-
ing convenience. We do not recommend that any of the
default settings be changed, however, until you are thor-
oughly familiar with the operation of the VXA-700.
Here is the procedure for initiating Menu configuration
changes:
r Press the key, then press the key, to activate
the Menu (“SET”) mode.
r Rotate the DIAL selector knob to select the “Main”
Menu, then press the key..
r Rotate the DIAL selector knob to select the “Sub”
Menu item you wish to view and/or modify, then press
the key..
r Once you have selected the desired Menu Item, press
the key once to view the current setting for the
item.
r Rotate the DIAL selector knob to change the setting
of the item (ON to OFF, etc.).
r Press the key again to save your new setting.
r Press the PTT key repetitively until the radio exits to
normal operation.
