SETTING UP THE SHOOTING FUNCTION
EXPOSURE
• This camera automatically adjusts the exposure according to the ambient light-
ing conditions. However, you can select the exposure value by using the
[EXPOSURE] sub menu.
• This function can be used in STILL IMAGE and MACRO SHOT mode.
• If you increase the exposure value, the image will be brighter.
• If you decrease the exposure value, the image will be darker.
1.Rotate the mode dial to the SHOT mode.
2.Press the MENU button and press the UP ( ) / DOWN
( ) button to select [EXPOSURE].
3.Select [EV], and press the RIGHT ( ) button.
4. Select the desired Exposure Value by pressing the UP ( ) /
DOWN ( ) button. The default setting is 0.0 EV.
5. After selecting the desired exposure value, press the OK
button to confirm the setting.
6. Press the MENU button to cancel the menu display.
Reference
• Exposure compensation setting range: -2.0~+2.0EV (0.5EV steps)
• This change to the exposure will remain until the camera is turned off.
• When the camera is turned on again, the exposure compensation setting
returns to 0.0 EV (discarding the exposure compensation).
• When you have selected a change in exposure value, the value is displayed on
the LCD monitor.
• Decreasing or increasing the exposure value may lead to images being under
or over exposed (too dark or too bright).
• Review your images using the LCD monitor to make sure that they have been
successful.
