3 If needed, repeat steps 1 and 2 until you get the desired
Manual White Balance setting.
4 When you are satisfied with the Manual setting you have
made, press the OK button to exit the Manual White
Balance screen and return to the Capture menu.
AE metering
If you press OK when the AE
Metering option is highlighted in the
Capture menu, the AE Metering
sub-menu displays. This sub-menu
allows you to specify which region of
the scene the camera will use to
measure and calculate the exposure.
The following table describes the AE
Metering settings. The default setting is Center-Weighted. The
AE Metering setting resets to Center-Weighted when you turn
the camera off.
Icon Setting Description
Average The camera uses the entire scene
region to measure and calculate
exposure.
None Center-Weighted The camera uses the center half of
the scene region to measure and
calculate exposure.
Spot The camera uses a small area in
the center of the scene region to
measure and calculate exposure.
