The Basics of Shooting and Playback
1 Hold the camera steady.
Keep fingers and other objects away from
the lens, flash, AF-assist illuminator,
microphone, and speaker.
When taking pictures in portrait (“tall”)
orientation, turn the camera so that the
flash is above the lens.
2 Frame the picture.
When the camera automatically determines
the scene mode, the shooting mode icon
changes (A33).
B Notes About Easy Auto Mode
Depending upon shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired
scene mode. In this case, select another shooting mode (A24).
When the digital zoom is in effect, the scene mode changes to U.
