B Notes About AF Area Mode
When the digital zoom is in effect, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame
regardless of the applied AF area mode option.
In some rare cases of shooting subjects for which autofocus does not perform as expected
(A72), the subject may not be in focus.
Some settings cannot be used with other functions (A65).
When target finding AF is selected and the camera does not focus on the desired subject, set
AF area mode to Center. You can also use focus lock (A71) and try shooting again.
