Recording and Viewing Movies
Recording a Time-Lapse Movie
The camera takes pictures at a specified intervals to create a silent movie with a frame
rate of 30 frames per second and a frame size of 640 × 480. The maximum recording
time is 35 seconds (1,050 frames).
Notes on Time-Lapse Movies
Recording will end automatically when the battery is exhausted. When recording movies, using
the optional EH-62A AC adapter kit is recommended.
Take a test shot and check the results before recording time-lapse movies.
When shooting, do not rotate the mode dial.
The monitor automatically turns off and the power lamp blinks between frames to save power
and turns on immediately before the camera takes the next shot.
Highlight Time-lapse movie in
MOVIE OPTIONS menu (P.56) and
press d.
Highlight option and press d.
Set option and return to the MOVIE
OPTIONS menu.
Return to Movie shooting screen. Start recording.
Press the shutter-release button to start
recording.
To end recording, press the shutter-
release button again, press the power
switch, or press i approximately one
second.
Recording will end when the memory is
full or 1,050 frames have been recorded.
