Using the Flash
Basic Photography and Playback: A (Auto) Mode
Setting the Flash Mode

Press the m (flash pop-up) button.
The built-in flash will be raised.
When the built-in flash is lowered, the flash mode will be fixed to W (off).

Press m (flash mode) on the multi selector.
The flash mode menu is displayed.

Press H or I on the multi selector to choose
the desired mode and press the k button.
The icon for the selected flash mode is displayed at the
top of the monitor.
When U (auto) is applied, D is only displayed for a
few seconds even if monitor indicators (A15) are
turned on.
If a setting is not applied by pressing the k button
within a few seconds, the selection will be cancelled.
B Lowering the Built-in Flash
When not using the built-in flash, gently push to lower the flash.
