Appendix
Messages such as the following may appear on the LCD monitor during
camera operation.
Messages
Battery depleted
The battery is exhausted. Charge the battery using the
battery charger (p.14).
Memory card full
The SD Memory Card is full and no more images or
sound files can be saved.
Insert a new SD Memory Card or delete unwanted
images or sound files (p.17, p.88).
Change the picture size or quality or both and try again
(p.49, p.93).
Built-in memory full
The built-in memory is full and no more image or sound
files can be saved. Insert an SD Memory Card or delete
unwanted images or sound files (p.17, p.88). Change
the picture size or quality or both and try again (p.49,
p.93).
Memory card error
Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem
with the SD Memory Card. However, you may be able
to display or copy already recorded images on the card
using a PC.
Card not formatted
The SD Memory Card you have inserted is unformatted
or has been formatted on a computer or other device
that is not compatible with this camera (p.120).
Card locked The SD Memory Card is write-protected (p.19).
Compression error
Compression of the image you captured has failed.
Change the quality/size and try again (p.49, p.93).
No image/sound
There are no image/sound files on the SD Memory
Card to play back.
Deleting Appears when deleting an image or sound file.
Camera cannot play this image
and sound
The image or sound is in a format not supported by the
camera. You may be able to play it back on another
brand of camera or on your computer.
Image folder could not be
created
The largest file number (9999) has been assigned to an
image or sound file in the largest folder number (999)
and no more image or sound files can be saved. Insert
a new SD Memory Card or format the card (p.17,
p.120).
Image/sound cannot be
created
The maximum number (5000) of images or sound files
has been recorded, and no more pictures or sound files
can be recorded. Insert a new SD Memory Card or
format the card (p.17, p.120).
