In b (Auto Picture mode), the camera selects the most appropriate
capture mode from - (Normal mode), A (Night Scene mode), q
(Landscape mode) and (Portrait mode) just by pressing the shutter
release button.
Face Priority must be on for “Face Recognition AF” and “Face
Recognition AE” to be active. When you point the camera at your
subject’s face, the camera automatically recognizes it, adjusting both
focus and exposure. Face Priority is always on in Auto Picture mode.
1 Press the four-way controller (3) in Capture mode.
The Mode Palette appears.
2 Use the four-way controller
(2345) to select b (Auto
Picture mode).
3 Press the OK button.
4 Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame on the display will light
green when the camera is in focus, and the
selected mode icon will appear on the top
left of the display.
