an AC operating outlet.
Install Six Optional “AA” Alkaline Batteries
If you do not want to use the adapter, you may use six “AA” alkaline batteries.

Attach the AC Adapter
Since the battery must be charged before it can be used the first time, attach the
adapter to the camcorder.
