ZOOM SETTINGS
Set the optical zoom and digital zoom settings to ON or OFF. If you find the
noise from the zoom movement during video clip recording too distracting,
you may wish disable the optical zoom (OFF). Also, if the deterioration of
image quality characteristic of the digital zoom function is not to your liking,
you may choose to disable the digital zoom (OFF) and shoot using only the
optical zoom.
1 Display the Option Screen (page 114).
2 Select the zoom setting icon 5,
and press the SET button.
h The Zoom Setting Screen appears.

3 Select the desired function, and
press the SET button.
h The Zoom Setting Screen appears.
DIGITAL ZOOM HON: Digital zoom is enabled.
HOFF: Digital zoom is disabled.
OPTICAL ZOOM HON: During video clip recording, the optical
zoom is enabled.
HOFF: During video clip recording, the optical
zoom is disabled.
EXIT: Return to the Option Screen.
