Using the Menu

To cancel the count down, touch [RESET].
To cancel the self-timer, select [OFF].
You can also operate by pressing START/STOP
or PHOTO on the Remote Commander (p. 36).
You can select the maximum zoom level in
case you want to zoom to a level greater
than 10 × (the default setting) while
recording on a tape. Note that the image
quality decreases when you are using the
digital zoom.
BOFF
Up to 10 × zoom is performed optically.
20 ×
Up to 10 × zoom is performed optically,
and after that, up to 20 × zoom is
performed digitally.
80 ×
Up to 10 × zoom is performed optically,
and after that, up to 80 × zoom is
performed digitally.
You can compensate for camera shake (the
default setting is [ON]). Set
[STEADYSHOT] to [OFF] ( ) when
using a tripod (optional), then the image
becomes natural.
When using an optional conversion lens,
use this function to record using the
optimum compensation for camera shake
for each lens.
BOFF
Select this when the conversion lens
(optional) is not used.
WIDE CONV. ( )
Select this to use the wide conversion lens
(optional).
TELE CONV. ( )
Select this to use the tele conversion lens
(optional).
You can assign an item you want to set to
the CAM CTRL dial and adjust it manually
using the CAM CTRL dial.
BFOCUS
Assigns the [FOCUS] (p. 50) setting to the
CAM CTRL dial.
EXPOSURE
Assigns the [EXPOSURE] (p. 49) setting
to the CAM CTRL dial.
AE SHIFT
Assigns the [AE SHIFT] (p. 50) setting to
the CAM CTRL dial.
WB SHIFT
Assigns the [WB SHIFT] (p. 50) setting to
the CAM CTRL dial.

DIGITAL ZOOM
STEADYSHOT
The right side of the bar shows the digital
zooming factor. The zooming zone
appears when you select the zooming
level.
