z Be careful when making changes to the print or
transfer settings with other DPOF cameras,
because all such settings will be overwritten by
your camera (pp. 105, 111, 114).

The camera automatically
brightened the image displayed
on the LCD monitor (or
viewfinder) to make it easier to
see when shooting in a dark
area (p. 19).
z There is no effect on the recorded image.
Shooting
Camera will not record.

mode.
z Turn the mode lever to the left or press the shutter
button halfway to switch to Shooting mode.
z During a computer or printer connection,
disconnect the interface cable before switching
the camera to Shooting mode.
Flash is charging. (Blinking
white on LCD monitor/in
viewfinder).
z Wait until stops blinking and lights steadily,
signaling that the flash is charged, then press the
shutter button.
Memory card full. z Insert a new memory card (Basic Guide p. 1).
z If required, download the images to a computer
and erase them from the memory card to make
space.
Memory card is not formatted
correctly.
z Format the memory card (p. 35).
z If reformatting does not work, the memory card logic
circuits may be damaged. Consult the nearest
Canon Customer Support Help Desk.
SD memory card is write
protected.
z Slide the write protect tab of the SD memory card
upward (p. 133).
