My image is
too bright.
The flash
provided too
much light.

! Move back from the subject and
use the zoom to get the same
framing.
A natural or
artificial source
other than the
flash provided

! Try taking the picture from a
different angle.
! Avoid pointing the camera
directly toward a bright light or
reflective surface on a sunny
day.
! Decrease the EV Compensation
(see
page 57).
! Use AE Bracketing (see

The scene had
many dark
objects, such as
a black dog on

Decrease the EV Compensation

The Image
Display is set
for outdoor
display,
making images
appear too

Change the Display Brightness in
the Setup Menu for more accurate
brightness on the Image Display.
