4 To take the three pictures, each at a different exposure
setting, simply press the Shutter button all the way down one
time. The entire 3–shot sequence is taken with one press of
the Shutter button, as long as there is enough space in the
memory buffer of the camera to store all three images. Be
sure to hold the camera still until all three pictures have been
taken. After the three pictures have been taken, each image
appears one at a time on the Image Display.
The following table helps explain the settings in more detail:
If the new setting is anything other than the default Off setting,
the icon for the setting (in the previous table) will appear in the
Live View screen.
NOTE Except in My Mode (page 52), the new setting remains
in effect until it is changed again or until the camera is
turned off. The AE Bracketing setting resets to the default
Off setting when you turn the camera off.
Setting Description
Off The camera will not use AE bracketing.
+/-0.3
The camera will take the first picture at normal exposure
(0 exposure value), followed by an underexposed
picture at -0.3 exposure value, and finally an
overexposed picture at +0.3 exposure value.
+/-0.7
The camera will take the first picture at normal exposure
(0 exposure value), followed by an underexposed
picture at -0.7 exposure value, and finally an
overexposed picture at +0.7 exposure value.
+/-1.0
The camera will take the first picture at normal exposure
(0 exposure value), followed by an underexposed
picture at -1.0 exposure value, and finally an
overexposed picture at +1.0 exposure value.
