• Do not install the receiver in an unstable place, in a place subject to vibrations or on a device such as a TV
where it becomes warm.
• Use the receiver at normal temperatures (5°C (41°F) ~ 35°C (95°F)).
• Take care not to drop the receiver or apply a shock to it.
• Do not leave the optical receiver hanging in the air.
• Use the optical receiver with the 120V AC power supply.
• If you are not going to use the AV optical receiver for a long time, unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
See the bottom of the AV optical receiver.
The rating label is located on the bottom of the AV optical receiver.
If any abnormality or trouble occurs
• If you find any abnormality or trouble, immediately unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and consult the
video store from whom you purchased the camcorder
• When you go for servicing, take both the AV optical receiver and camcorder
Connecting to a Television with Audio In and Video In Jacks PICTURE
1. If your television has the AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks, connect the provided audio/video cable to the AUDIO IN and
VIDEO IN jacks of your television. Connect either the right or left audio plug into your television if it has only one
AUDIO IN jack.
2. Connect the free ends of the audio/video cable to the AUDIO OUT and VIDEO OUT jacks of the AV optical
receiver.
3. Plug the power cord into an AC outlet. The power lamp of the optical receiver will light (red) to show that the
receiver is in the power on mode.
Operations
1. Make sure that the power lamp of the AV optical receiver lights (red) to show that the receiver is in the power
on mode.
2. Turn the TV on and select video input.
3. Connect a power source to the camcorder and insert a recorded cassette.
4. Set the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch to "VIDEO" and point the camcorder's transmitter at the AV optical receiver.
Note: When the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch of the camcorder is set to "CAM", no signal can be transmitted.
5. Press the PLAY button. Now, the playback picture appears on the TV screen.
Note: When you use the remote control to operate the camcorder, point it at the infrared receiver of the
camcorder. You cannot operate the camcorder by pointing the remote control at the AV optical receiver.
6. When playback is finished, set the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch of the camcorder to "OFF".
