Adjusting the White Balance
The color of the image may look different from that of the actual subject,
depending on the type of lighting source. For recording pictures in as natural
colors as possible, your camera has four white balance options.
1 Set the Power/Mode switch to the
position.
2 Press the MENU button to display the Menu
screen.
3 Press a button until WHITE
BALANCE is highlighted, and then press the
SELECT button.
The White Balance screen appears. The
current setting is checked.
4 Press a button until the desired white
balance option is highlighted, and then press
the SELECT button.
AUTOadjusts the white balance
automatically for the current lighting
conditions. Ideal for everyday pictures.
This is the default white balance setting.
DAYLIGHTideal for outdoor pictures,
or indoor pictures under natural lighting
conditions.
FLUORESCENTbalances the green
color of indoor pictures under fluorescent
lighting.
TUNGSTENbalances the red/orange
color of indoor pictures under tungsten
lighting.
The camera accepts the change and returns
to the Menu screen.
5 Press the MENU button to turn the Menu
screen off.
To return to the Auto setting, highlight
AUTO on the White Balance screen, and
then press the SELECT button.
