r Tapping the Monitor to Focus (Touch AF)
* This setting can also be changed in shooting modes other than auto. The changed
setting is also applied to other shooting modes.
1 Tap the subject on which to focus.
• The focus area is displayed around the area
that is tapped.
• When digital zoom is in effect, the focus
area cannot be selected.
• To cancel the focus area selection, tap a in
the monitor.
• When an area on which focus cannot be
acquired is tapped, X is displayed in the
monitor. Tap an area within X.
2 Press the shutter-release button to
take a picture.
• Press the shutter-release button halfway to
lock the focus and exposure, and press it all
the way down to release the shutter.
