Select Ye s to format the memory card. Note that this permanently
deletes all data on the card, including protected images; before
proceeding, be sure to copy important pictures and other data
to a computer (0 145). To exit without formatting the memory
card, highlight No and press J.
If Enable release is selected, the shutter can be released when
no memory card is inserted. No pictures will be recorded,
although they will be displayed in demo mode. Select Release
locked to enable the shutter only when a card is inserted.
Adjust the following display options.
Display Brightness
To adjust the brightness of the monitor,
select Display brightness and press 1
or 3. Choose higher values to brighten
the display and lower values to make the
display darker.
Format Memory Card
The message shown at right is displayed
while the card is formatted; do not remove
the memory card or remove or disconnect
the power source until formatting is com-
plete.
