Setting the Area, Date and
Time
Available modes:
TAPE-CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
Example: Setting the date to 2 June 2002 (2. 6.
2002) and the time to 10:30 am (10:30) in Paris.
Notes:
• Before performing the steps below, make sure
that the lithium battery has been installed (see
page 14).
• If you are in an area that observes summer time,
set the time to the standard time. You can then
correct it for summer time by performing the
steps on page 83.
1 Hold down the Lock button
and set the Power switch to
CAMERA.
2 Press the MENU button until the menu
screen appears.
3 Press the SET button.
4 Press l or m until “2 PARIS” appears,
then press the SET button.
Note:
• See “Time Zone Chart” and “Area Table” on
pages 81 and 82 for the area number and
name of the representative city for your time
zone.
5 Press l or m to select “SETTING”,
then press the SET button.
6 Press l or m to select “2” (day), then
press the SET button.
7 Press l or m to select “6” (month),
then press the SET button.
8 Press l or m to select “2002” (year),
then press the SET button.
9 Press l or m to select “10” (hour), then
press the SET button.
10 Press l or m to select “30” (minute),
then press the SET button.
The internal clock now starts operating.
11 Press the MENU button to turn off the
menu screen.
Note:
• If the date and time have been set, the MANUAL
SET screen (T) appears in step 2. Select
“AREA” in the CLOCK SET screen (P) using the
Operation button and SET button.
