Troubleshooting
• Your printer may not print images edited on a computer or recorded using other devices. This
is not a malfunction.
You cannot delete an image.
• You cannot delete images from a DVD-R/DVD+R DL.
• You cannot delete images recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality on a DVD-
RW (VIDEO mode)/DVD+RW.
• You cannot delete images from a “Memory Stick Duo” that has been protected with another
device.
Unable to copy the images from a disc to a “Memory Stick Duo.”
• You cannot copy a movie from a disc to a “Memory Stick Duo” as a still image during
playback on your camcorder.
Unable to finalize.
• Battery is running out during finalizing. Use the AC Adaptor.
• The disc has already been finalized. In the case of following discs, unfinalize them to record
additional material (p. 78):
– DVD+RW
– DVD-RW recorded with HD (high definition) image quality
– DVD-RW (VIDEO mode) recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality
You cannot edit or record additional material on a disc using other devices.
• You may not be able to edit a disc recorded on your camcorder using other devices.
A disc title cannot be set.
• You cannot set a disc title on your camcorder.
The beep sounds for 5 seconds.
• The temperature of your camcorder is extremely high. Turn off your camcorder and leave it
for a while in a cool place.
• Moisture condensation has occurred with the disc. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for
about 1 hour, then turn on your camcorder again (p. 136).
• Some problems have occurred in your camcorder. Remove the disc and insert it again, then
operate your camcorder again.
Unable to unfinalize.
• You cannot unfinalize:
– DVD-R
– DVD+R DL
– DVD+RW recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality
– DVD-RW (VR mode) recorded with SD (standard definition) image quality
