4 Focus on the main subject in the AF frame
and press the shutter button down halfway.

MEMO
The shutter button has a halfway point at which focus and
exposure are automatically optimized before taking the
picture by pressing fully down.
CAUTION
When pressing the shutter button halfway, a lens
operation sound may be heard.
5 Press the shutter button fully.
CAUTION
When taking a picture using the flash, the image may
disappear and go dark briefly due to flash charging. The
indicator lamp blinks orange during charging.
MEMO
• When the subject is not in the AF frame, use AF/AE lock
to take the picture (➝p.34).
• When pressing the shutter button down fully in one
motion, the camera takes the picture without the AF
frame changing.
• When a picture is taken, the illumination lamp on the
front of the camera lights to indicate that shooting is
complete.
• Images are saved in the folder displayed in the top left
of the LCD monitor (➝p.28).
