CLOSE UP
The close up function allows you to take a picture as close as 3.2 inches (8 cm) to the subject, and
fills the frame with the subject in about 2.4 inches (6 cm) x 1.6 inches (4 cm).

Rotate the function dial to .
• The recording mode menu is displayed on the LCD monitor.
2 Press button to change the Focus distance to .
• is displayed on the upper-right side of the LCD monitor and indicates that
the close up mode is selected.
The flash mode is set to "FLASH CANCEL" automatically. When the
close up mode is selected, the flash does not fire.

Determine the image composition while looking into the
LCD monitor.
There is a difference between the image range through the viewfinder and
the actual one in the close up mode. We recommend you to use the LCD
monitor when you determine the image composition.
•We recommend you set the camera on a stable surface or attach it to a
tripod.
The LCD monitor cannot be turned off in the close up mode.
