A long delay
occurs
between
pressing the
Shutter button
and the
camera
taking a
picture.
The camera
needs time to
lock focus and
exposure.
Use Focus Lock. (See page 23.)
The camera is
taking a long
exposure.
Use a tripod or the flash.

set to Red-eye
Reduction.
It will take longer to take a picture
with Red-eye Reduction set to On.

memory card to the unlocked
position.
The flash is
recharging.
Wait until the flash has recharged
before taking another picture.
