The combination of optical and digital zoom
technology offers higher zoom ratio than optical zoom
without reducing the quality.
NOTE
Optical zoom is used up to [35X/OPTICAL]. Digital
zoom is used from more than [35X/OPTICAL] up to
the selected zoom ratio.

Compensates for hand shake.
OFF: Disables the function.
[ON]: Activates the function.
NOTE
•
Complete stabilization may not be possible if hand
shake is excessive, or depending on the shooting
conditions.

Switch off this mode when recording with the
camcorder on a tripod.

GAIN UP
Makes the subject appear bright
automatically when you record in
dark places. However, the overall
color tones appear grayish.

OFF: Deactivates the function.
AGC :
Electrically brightens the scene in dark place.
[AUTO]: Automatically brightens the scene when
it is dark. (Becomes brighter than [AGC]. The
motion of a subject may look unnatural if
recorded in some condition.)

Electrically brightens the scene in dark place.

! SELECT ASPECT RATIO
Selects the aspect ratio for videos.
[16:9]: Records videos in 16:9 size.
4:3: Records videos in 4:3 size.
NOTE
•
If the [VIDEO QUALITY] is set to [ECONOMY], you
cannot record in 16:9 size.
•
If you want to copy the recorded videos onto DVD
discs, it is recommended not to mix 16:9 size
videos and 4:3 size videos.

o WIND CUT
Reduces noise caused by wind.
[OFF]: Deactivates the function.
ON: Activates the function.

AUTO SWITCH REC MEDIA
Switches recording media
automatically from SLOT A to
SLOT B and vice versa after the
card in the selected slot is full.
OFF: Deactivates the function.
[ON]: Activates the function.
NOTE
The switching time of the SD cards requires
approximately 3 seconds. If there are many videos and
data in the SD card, it might take up to a few minutes to
perform the switch. No video is recorded during that time.
