Digital zoom cannot be
used.
• Digital zoom is set to Off in the setup menu.
• Digital zoom is not available in the following
situations.
- When Portrait, Night portrait, Night
landscape, Backlighting (when HDR is
set to On), Panorama (when Easy
panorama is selected), Pet portrait, or 3D
photography scene mode is selected
- Touch shooting is set to Subject tracking
- When shooting in smart portrait mode
- When Multi-shot 16 is selected for the
Continuous setting

• Off is selected for Sound settings>Shutter
sound in the setup menu. No sound is heard
with some shooting modes and settings, even

speaker.

not light.
Off is selected for the AF assist option in the
setup menu. AF-assist illuminator may not light
depending on the position of the focus area or
the current scene mode, even when Auto is
selected.

pixels (“noise”) appear in

Shutter speed too slow or ISO sensitivity is high
as the subject is dark. Noise can be reduced by:
• Using flash
• Specifying a lower ISO sensitivity setting
