Formatting Memory Cards: CF Card Format
The memory card provided with your camera is
formatted at shipment. If you purchase additional
memory cards for added storage, you will how-
ever need to format the cards before first use to
ensure that they work properly in your camera.
Formatting memory cards is also an effective way
of deleting all pictures on the card.
Selecting CF Card Format from the setup or playback menus displays the
confirmation dialog shown above. To format the memory card:

formatting. Formatting begins
immediately. While formatting is in
progress, the message shown above
will be displayed.

Adjusting Monitor Brightness: Brightness
This option controls monitor brightness. Press the
multi selector up or down to increase or decrease
the brightness of the monitor by moving the ar-
row to the right of the display up or down.

Do not remove the memory card, remove the battery, or unplug the
AC adapter (available separately) while formatting is in progress.
