The subject is not displayed on the monitor.

The monitor was turned
off before closing the lens
barrier.
If All Reset in the SETUP tab of the mode menu
is set to “OFF,” the camera settings before the
lens barrier was closed remain unchanged.
Turn on the monitor, and close the lens barrier.
