Playback
Deleting text memos
1 Perform the operation from steps 1 to 4
in “Playback from text memo position”,
and move to the bottom of the text memo
screen.
2 Move the cursor to the text memo to be
deleted, and press .
A multiple number of text memos can be
selected.
3 Press [MENU/MODE CHK], and then select
“OPERATION” – “DELETE” using , and
.
4 Select “YES”, and press .
The text memo is now deleted.
Dividing and copying clips using text
memos
1 Perform the operation from steps 1 to 4
in “Playback from text memo position”,
and move to the bottom of the text memo
screen.
2 Move the cursor to the text memo to be
copied, and press .
A multiple number of text memos can be
selected.
3 Press [MENU/MODE CHK], and then select
“OPERATION” – “COPY” using , and ,
and press .
4 Using or and , select the slot with the
copy destination card, select “YES”, and
press .
Copying is now executed.
5 When the completion message has
appeared, press “OK” ( ).
The block between the selected text memo and
the next text memo is copied. If there is no text
memo after the selected text memo, the block
from the text memo position to the end of the clip
will be copied.
While copying is underway, the progress made
in copying and cancel are displayed. To stop the
copying at any time, press . The “YES/NO”
confirmation screen now appears. Using and
, select “YES”.

Replacing thumbnail images
The thumbnail display image of clip can be
replaced with the still image at the text memo
position.
1 Perform the operation from steps 1 to 4
in “Playback from text memo position”,
and move to the bottom of the text memo
screen.
2 Using or , move the cursor to the text
memo still image you wish to make the
thumbnail display image.
3 Press [MENU/MODE CHK].
4 Using , and , select “OPERATION”
– “EXCH. THUMBNAIL”, and press .
5 Select “YES”, and press .
The thumbnail display image is replaced with
the still image at the cursor position.
You can view the thumbnail change position
(number of frames from the start) using the clip
information display “THUMBNAIL” item (Page
44). “0” is normally displayed for the thumbnail of
the start frame.
Playback from a thumbnail begins from the start
of the clip even when the thumbnail has been
changed.
