Redeye Reduction Mode
If you shoot a subject in a dark place with the flash activated, the eyes of the
subject may appear red in the resultant picture. In redeye reduction mode, the
flash will fire several times before the shutter releases to lessen the redeye
phenomenon.
A Set the mode dial to [ ] and press
the MENU button.
B Select [REDEYE REDUCTION].
C Select [ON] and then select [OK].
D Select [EXIT] to exit the menu display.
The symbol will be displayed on the LCD
monitor or LCD panel.
E Press the shutter release button to
take the picture.
When you press the shutter release button,
the flash will fire several times in succession
preliminarily before firing last when the
shutter releases.
Important
Note
The shutter takes about 1 second to
release after you press the shutter
release button. Hold the camera
steady meanwhile to shoot.
Note
Redeye reduction mode cannot be
used when the flash mode is set on
(Flash Off).
Note
Auto Bracket cannot be used when the image quality mode is set on
non-compressed mode (NC) or when [VOICE MEMO] is set on [ON].
The flash does not fire in auto bracket mode.
