1.2 - PRESENTATION
Wide aperture prism type optical separator (f/1.4)
The separator is fitted with:
A 4-position density filter wheel.
A 4-position effect filter wheel.
1 quartz filter, suppressing colorimetric errors due to reflected polarised light.
1 anti-aliasing optical filter.
1 infrared filter.
High performance video processing chain
Gain in steps of - 3 dB to + 21 dB.
Digital video processing over 12 bits consists mainly:
Automatic Black Shading Correction.
White Shading Correction.
Automatic pixel correction:
Pixel correction is intended to reduce non-uniformity between pixels. This device
corrects the pixels which may have become defective with time.
Automatic flare compensation.
Contour correction:
This correction includes a correction of “aperture” centred on 6-7 MHz intended to
compensate for the loss in modulation depth up to 6 MHz, and a “physiological”
correction centred on 3-4 MHz intended to provide image relief. This correction is
generated by the three R,G,B channels.
