2.6.1 - Equipment slaved to an external reference connected to the
«GENLOCK» input
2.6.1.1 - External reference with blackburst
Link J92 on the «GENLOCK/VIDEO» board must be set to «ON». In this case, the output
composite signal subcarrier is slaved to the reference burst.
The reference signal should be a black video signal with burst delivred by a Broad-
cast generator (stable SC/H) and terminated with 75 Ohms load.
With the Z160 soft version 47017011/D (identified 011/D on the circuit), S170 must
be set to high position (FINE) only.
With the Z160 soft version 47017011/C (identified 011/C on the Z160 circuit), S170
enable a bar pattern on all the Channel Control Unit outputs.
Horizontal phase alignment of the analog output signal
The horizontal phase of the composite signal with respect to the external reference signal
is adjusted using the «ΦH COARSE» and «ΦH FINE» thumbwheels:
«ΦH COARSE»: Adjustment in steps of 592 ns.
«ΦH FINE»: Adjustment in steps of 37 ns.
The range of variation of the composite output signal with respect to the reference signal is
9.5 µs (- 4.5 µs + 5 µs).
Subcarrier phase alignment
The output composite signal subcarrier phase with respect to the external reference signal
(BBS) is adjusted using thumbwheel «ΦSC».
